This course provides an overview of the healthcare system—past, present, and future—and the impact technology has on the quality of healthcare services. The course allows students to research the careers of various health professionals who service, diagnose, and treat various health conditions and diseases in hospitals, clinics, private offices, schools, colleges, and universities, as well as other health service agencies. The course examines the medical needs of a culturally diverse society and examines infectious and safety principles and techniques crucial to healthcare employees and patients.
